Meet the Team
Sam joined the family business at the tender age of 17 starting in the stores department at the weekend, working his way up through the divisions of the company enabling him to improve and grow his knowledge of each sector. He became Director in 2013 alongside his parents: Graham and Margaret Ransome and business partner Leigh Westlake. Sam manages the Mobility division at Ransome in addition to the WAV sales and vehicle adaptations. In his spare time, he is a keen golfer, Motorcycle fanatic and enjoys spending time with his friends and family (usually at Ipswich Town Football Ground).
Leigh became Managing Director in 2013 after 16 years with the company, working his way up through the Parts, Service and Sales department. Leigh created and swiftly built up the Motability business in 2005 and shortly after Ransomes became an accredited partner for Motability. Another keen golfer and car enthusiast, his passion lies in Karting but his legendary status is quickly tarnished by his love for Man Utd.
Trevor joined the Ransome family in 2000 with a strong background in welding and coach building. He is a highly skilled engineer and is extremely versatile given his ability to work with all departments, in any environment. Trevor manages the workshop, as well as the Motability Vehicle Adaptations alongside Kylie and when given the chance to, assists Chris with the adaptation fitting. He is also a keen golfer, a fantastic chef and avid Arsenal supporter. Trevor has a passion for Jazz, Funk and Soul music and is always the first on the dancefloor.
Chris reached his 10 year anniversary with Ransome in 2015. Starting in the Bodyshop he progressed naturally with the addition of the Mobility business in 2010 and is now Ransome Mobility’s Senior Adaptations Technician. His expert experience in adaptations and Bodywork is extensive and no job is too challenging. Outside of work, Chris enjoys camping with his children and is very creative, being able to turn his hand to any DIY situation or restoration project. Chris is easily recognised by his trademark beard which began with the ‘Movember’ challenge in 2013.
